Monsters University Movie Review - Out in Theaters Today! #MonstersUniversity

Monsters University is finally out in theaters today, June 21!!

Check out the Monsters University movie trailer!

Take a trip back in time to when star Monsters, Inc. employees Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal) and James P. "Sulley" Sullivan (voice of John Goodman) were just two promising young students at Monsters University in this frightfully fun Disney/Pixar prequel. Some other notable characters voiced by Helen Mirren, Steve Buscemi and Julia Sweeney!!

Long before they were lurking in closets for a living, Mike and Sulley were just two Scaring majors at Monsters University, dreaming of the day they would make children shriek in terror.

When their heated competition to be the most fearsome in their class gets out of hand, however, Mike and Sulley find themselves ejected from the prestigious Scare Program, and they are forced to seek the aid of their oddball friends in order to get their education back on track.

My 10 year old daughter Rose and I were invited to the local Michigan premiere of Monsters University this week and it was worth the 50 minute drive to the theater!! This film is Rated G (some frightening scenes) and runs 1 hour 42 minutes long. We laughed a lot at this movie and enjoyed the colorful and unique monsters and myself as a parent enjoyed the messages in this movie: self esteem, being yourself and embracing your uniqueness....all themes that kids could benefit learning from! As a parent (and as Rose says too), we both highly recommend checking this movie out!!
