NEW #1D One Direction Movie OPENS TODAY

Cue the screaming tweens and teens now!! 

One Direction Movie: This Is Us opens in theaters today (8/30/13)!! 

I attended an advance screening of this movie with two 10 yr olds, my daughter and her friend (they were some of the best behaved kids out of the bunch in this theater)!! Next to me sat 6 high school girls that screamed like they were actually at the concert, cried their eyes out and literally reached out to the movie screen each time one of the band members "looked" at them!!

That annoyance aside - I loved the movie!! I really like this group and the positive self image they promote to young ladies like my daughter. I laughed a lot at the boys antics onscreen as the cameras followed them around during their recent concert tour. I even teared up as a parent listening to their parents talk about them. I even knew all the songs (gasp) while my daughter and her friend quietly sang along!!

If you have a tween, teen or young lady in your life - I would recommend seeing this movie!! It was really enjoyable - lots of laughs - and great to see these young men through their own perspective!

When we were in Chicago for the BlogHer conference last month, we attending a movie screening and while there we got to check out the cool 1D movie posters - here is my husband posing with one and we later tried fooling our daughter that we met the boys ;) - didn't work!
