Rose is a huge fan of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books and was pestering me constantly for Book 8 titled "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck" which was released on her birthday this past winter (11/5/13). I was lucky enough to get a copy for Rose to review after it was released!

Book Synopsis:
Greg Heffley's on a losing streak. His best friend, Rowley Jefferson, has ditched him, and finding new friends in middle school is proving to be a tough task. To change his fortunes, Greg decides to take a leap of faith and turn his decisions over to chance. Will a roll of the dice turn things around, or is Greg's life destined to be just another hard-luck story?

Our thoughts:
"Diary of a Wimpy Kid" are great books if you are middle school aged child or parent to one due to the truthful image of all the problems that bother children of that age enabling reader to easily identify with him and enjoy his adventures. Girls do not perceive Greg, he is always having problems with older brother, little one makes him always guilty for something, and his mother and father don't understand him. Although it looks like that everything is against him, Greg is just an ordinary child going through his turbulent youthful years.

The book is nicely illustrated and filled with humor making it very entertaining piece both for kids and adults all of that makes this new installment another great book for teenager or even younger kid with which it can be certain they will have a good time reading it! Two Thumbs Up Rose gave this book!
