TruKid Sunny Days SPF 30+ Sunscreen and Hero Stick Review

“The featured product was provided free of charge to facilitate my review, but all opinions are 100% the opinion of the Coupon Savvy Sarah family.”

With Spring here and Summer right around the corner it is important to protect ourselves and our children from the damaging sun rays; however we do not want to protect ourselves or our kids by lathering on products that may contain dangerous or toxic chemicals. After doing some research online I found that a lot of sunscreens are filled with toxins...even those marketed for children so it has been really challenging trying to find a safe product for our family to use.

TruKid Sunny Days Daily SPF 30+ Lotion is mineral based with sustainable sourced zinc,  gluten-free, phthalate-free and paraben-free.  The lotion is all Natural, non toxic, mineral based and eczema safe. TruKid’s Sunny Days 30+ SPF lotion was voted the Most Awesome Sunscreen Winner by Red Tricycle and is the highest rated out of every kids’ sunscreen product line by the Environmental Working Group (EWG)! I like a product that is as good for the environment as it is for us!

Rose is very fair-skinned and loves to play outside so we were able to test out the TruKid Sunny Days Daily SPF 30+ Lotion recently during a very warm spell we had in Michigan.

I love how smoothly the lotion rubbed on and it was very mild, fresh scent which is perfect for me because certain scented items give me migraines. We reapplied after 40 minutes as instructed on the package and Rose got to play in the sun without getting burned!

Another essential TruKid product is the handy Hero Stick (dubbed "Mom’s Kiss in a Stick!" from fans). TruKids Hero Stick is a natural soothing balm that protects and soothes skin irritations. Perfect for backpacks and purses, Hero Stick will make boo-boos, bug bites, eczema and rashes feel better. The Hero Stick is made with Balm of Gilead, Calendula and Plantain Leaf to protect while skin heals. There are no parabens, artificial colors or fragrances in this biodegradable formula.  This handy tube can go anywhere with you so you are always ready for any little mishap.

I love how portable the Hero Stick is! I have it in my purse so while we are on the go I can use it anytime! I tried it on a paper cut and it rubbed on smoothly and didn't sting or burn like other products we have used in the past. Definitely a keeper!

I really love these products and can’t wait to try others from TruKid. Their product line includes bath care, body care, hair care, other on-the-go sticks, as well as skin care for babies. They have a Store Locator so you can find a retailer near you or you can get FREE Shipping on your order when you subscribe to their e-newsletter. 1. Oh goodness! My son would be burnt all summer if it wasn't for the stick! He despises lotion and spray, but he gets a kick out of the stick...it's like chapstick for the face he says! He has eczema and so that sensitive skin usually goes crazy with other SPF's but not with the stick!
    Great review!

  5. I definitely need to look into this! It gets pretty sunny where we are and my kiddos burn easily but I don't like a lot of brands we have found. Thanks!
