Disney Store Grand Opening at Somerset Collection in Troy, Michigan! Check out the Celebration & Special Guests!

Today, Disney Store celebrated the grand opening of its newly-designed store at Somerset Collection in Troy, Michigan. To help celebrate the newest location, children from the Boys and Girls Club of Troy enjoyed a special shopping experience before the Grand Opening and Disney Store will be making a donation of 10% of its merchandise sales revenue on Grand Opening day to the local chapter. One lucky child from the Boys and Girls Club chapter was able to “unlock imagination” and officially opened the Somerset Collection Disney Store this morning. The first 500 guests that attended the grand opening celebration today received a free gift and there was also a Meet and Greet in the Grand Court with Mickey and Minnie Mouse!

Unique to the Somerset Collection location, as guests enter the store and look above, they will see a customized skyline incorporating local landmarks, classic Disney features and magical storytelling moments. The Pixie Dust Trail guides guests through “Storytelling Neighborhoods” featured on either side of the path, highlighting favorite Disney, Marvel and Star Wars characters. The Disney Princess Neighborhood is home to the Disney Princess Castle, bringing the stories of the brave, kind and adventurous Disney Princess characters to life through costumes, accessories, dolls and more.
Disney Store’s signature Magical Trees line the Pixie Dust Trail, and are an integral part of the immersive storytelling experience, with iconic characters hidden throughout the overlapping patterns of blue foliage. The Disney Store Theatre is found at the end of the Pixie Dust Trail, where guests can choose from an ever-changing library of more than 50 different clips consisting of Disney, Marvel and Star Wars film trailers, film clips, music videos, classic animation and more.
Rose and I enjoyed attending the Disney Store Grand Opening this morning at Somerset Collection. The store is beautiful and full of details that children and adults alike will both love! The interactive theater will be your child's favorite area of the store without a doubt! The children loved being able to select music and clips from their favorite films while sitting a table and coloring Disney character pictures!

If you stick around long enough your children will be able to enjoy "Showtime" where they can sing and dance along with favorite Disney songs along with the store staff - we enjoyed watching Dani from the Disney Store teach the children the moves to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse's Hot Dog Song so they could sing and dance along with her.

Make sure to check the Disney Store page for the Somerset Collection location because there are upcoming events posted there including their Summer Play Days starting Monday, June 2!
