Our quest to discover and share more Michigan made products continues with Al Dente Pasta which is located in Whitmore Lake, Michigan. We are huge pasta lovers in our house and with us always being on the go, a quick but tasty meal is a must! Al Dente Pastas cook in 3 minutes for the perfect "al dente" pasta noodle! Sounds amazing, right?
Al Dente Pasta has a homemade texture, quick cooking time and locally-sourced, American ingredients with every bag and the Michigan company is run by husband and wife team: Dennis and Monique Deschaine. To read more about Al Dente's History - check it out here.
We received two different fettuccine noodles to try out - Wild Mushroom and Fiesta Fettuccine plus the Outrageous Olive & Caper Pasta Sauce.
WOW!! The fettuccine noodles are amazing! The flavor is delicious - I loved the smell of the wild mushroom fettuccine cooking! The Fiesta noodles were a delicious mix of egg, tomato and spinach noodles that we just tossed with a little olive oil and garlic. The Outrageous Olive and Caper sauce - unbelievably delicious! Rose even ate it without questioning the "chunks" of green in it (My husband and I love to cook with capers and normally she picks them out)! We did cook the noodles a couple minutes longer to our desired texture and the flavor was amazing and they tasted fresh!
I already found a local grocer that carries the Al Dente Pastas so I have since purchased a few more pasta flavors to try!!
Al Dente offers a wide variety of pasta products including Whole Wheat pastas, Bona Chia pastas (vegan), Carba Nada pastas (reduced carbs) plus their terrific pasta sauces! You can check out the store locator or purchase their products directly from their website! Al Dente also has a wide variety of recipes for inspiration on their website and don't forget to sign up for their newsletter while you are there!
