Motivational Book Review: "Push" By Brett Stalcup

“The featured product was provided free of charge to facilitate my review, but all opinions are 100% the opinion of the Coupon Savvy Sarah family.”

The past few years I have faced many obstacles within my family, workplace and my marriage that have caused great anxiety and fear within me. I grew up in a household where my mother battled mental illness and to this day refuses to seek treatment which causes a lot of pain and stress within my family. Having suffered from depression for over a decade myself and some rough struggles personally this past year and a half, I have searched out a few books that will help give me some guidance on how to let things go and look at situations more as a learning situation instead of being a victim.

Reading the motivational book Push by Brett Stalcup definitely hit home for me. I enjoyed the stories and thoughts about pushing through obstacles to overcome them to change not only your own life but to positively impact those around you. The chapter on Freedom was eye-opening for me - freeing myself of burdens, fears and guilt because ultimately hanging on to those negative things can impact my family and create stress on them. I appreciated the passages on Balance - I think everyone can benefit from balance in their lives whether it is their family, activities, work or all of those things combined!

Brett's simple approach to complex problems is refreshing. He leans on common sense, faith, family and persistence to PUSH through difficulties in life. The easy exercises in the book help put things in perspective about your life and what you want to accomplish.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone to read - I think everyone could walk away from this book with some inspiration to go through their day and PUSH through any obstacles or challenges they may face! With all the different chapters focusing on Addiction, Freedom, Forgiveness, Trust, Boundaries, Relationships and more - there is literally something for everyone in this book!
