Disney's Planes: Fire & Rescue Movie Review - Opens Today Nationwide! #FireAndRescueEvent

“The featured movie event was provided free of charge to facilitate my review, but all opinions are 100% the opinion of the Coupon Savvy Sarah family.”

I must confess - I hadn't seen the first Disney Planes movie so I didn't know what to expect with this sequel called Planes: Fire & Rescue and I wasn't sure if I would be able to keep up with the characters or story line. No need to worry! This movie was really enjoyable whether you have seen the first one or not!

Dusty Crophopper (voiced by Dane Cook) is now known around the world as a racing champion. However, there's a problem - one of his parts, long discontinued, has stopped working and unless he gets it fixed, there's no way he can race again. His town just happens to need another fire department employee and it's decided that he will go off to train in order to become a crophopper firefighter. He's soon involved with a whole new cast of characters, such as Blade Ranger (Ed Harris), Lil' Dipper (Julie Bowen), Mayday (Hal Holbrook) and he must learn how to put out fires before he's dismissed as just another racer.

We really enjoyed watching Planes: Fire & Rescue in 3D - it was an excellent mix of visual imagery and humor for both children and adults alike! It was incredibly thoughtful of Disney to open the film with a thank you to all those who work and volunteer in the fire and rescue field of work - very nice tribute!
