Cologne, Germany and The Rhine River

I seriously cannot tell you how excited I was to find Make Love Locks and here's why: My husband is from Cologne, Germany. Last time we were in Cologne in the summer of 2012 we were walking on a bridge across The Rhine River and my brother-in-law showed us his and his wife's "love lock."

The couple locks their love lock onto the bridge and throws the key into the river. How romantic is that? Both my husband and I said we had to do that next time we go to Germany. 

Fast forward to now.....my husband and I are celebrating our anniversary on December 13. We will  have been married 17 years.
