Touch the Brightest Star Book Review {+ Starry Night Giveaway - Ends 7/7}

The featured product was provided free of charge to facilitate my review, but all opinions are 100% the opinion of the Coupon Savvy Sarah family.”

We are huge book lovers in our house and I love giving very special books as gifts - especially to younger children when I can add a special inscription on the inside of the book for them to always have. Touch the Brightest Star is one of those special books that I am glad to have in my collection!

Greenwillow Books, an imprint of HarperCollins Children's Books, is proud to announce the publication of Touch the Brightest Star (ages 2-6) -- an ingenious, interactive picture book that is "no-tech", yet page after page children touch, tap, blink, and whisper to make magic happen in the nighttime sky.

Here is a brief book synopsis:
What happens while you're sleeping? With lush, beautiful watercolors and cut-paper collage, author Christie Matheson reveals the magic of the nighttime sky, using the same kinds of toddler-perfect interactive elements as her acclaimed book "Tap the Magic Tree." Wave good-bye to the sun, gently press the firefly, make a wish on a star, rub the owls on their heads, and . . . shhhh. No two readings of this book will be the same. That, along with the gentle, soothing rhythm, makes Touch the Brightest Star a bedtime winner—no matter how many times you and your child read it.

Our Thoughts:
Touch the Brightest Star is truly a magical book. I have always been fascinated with the stars and the sky, as is my daughter, so this is a wonderful book to add to our collection. I love the beautiful, warm colors and artwork within the book and the calming story (no one wants to get their kiddos wound up at bedtime). A very special book that I will be putting away one day for my daughter to read to her children once we are done reading it to our nieces and nephews! If you are looking for a special book for a special child (or parent-to-be) in your life - I would highly recommend this beautiful book.

Touch the Brightest Star is available at most major bookstores and online at Amazon. Make sure to follow Greenwillow Book's blog in addition to their Facebook and Twitter accounts to stay up to date on all the latest news surrounding this book and others!
