The featured product was provided free of charge to facilitate my review, but all opinions are 100% the opinion of the Coupon Savvy Sarah family.”
For the first time on DVD,  the early years of mythology’s mightiest man are revealed in Young Hercules: The Complete Series! Now available to own from Shout! Factory, Young Hercules: The Complete Series includes all 50 episodes of the action adventure series in a 6-DVD set, as well as the bonus featurette Writing the Legend of Young Hercules.

This prequel series to the smash hit Hercules: The Legendary Journeys explores the dawn of an ancient age of light and darkness as the half-god, half-man Hercules (Ryan Gosling, The Notebook) — along with his friends, Prince Jason (Chris Conrad, Mortal Kombat Annihilation) and Iolaus (Dean O’Gorman, The Hobbit Trilogy) — struggles to find his place in the world and learns what it means to be a hero.

Bonus Feature
  • Writing the Legend of Young Hercules featurette

Our Thoughts:

First off - I had no clue Ryan Gosling was in a TV series! That either shows my age or the fact that I was living under a rock at the time? This DVD set is packed with all 50 episodes. The episodes were really fun to watch - especially recognizing other actors/actresses from current and past movies and shows we have seen. I have always had a love for mythology and fantasy-type movies such as Lord of the Rings so Young Hercules was really cool to watch with my family since none of us had seen it before!

Young Hercules: The Complete Series is available at major retailers nationwide in addition to online retailers such as Amazon.
