Halloween Tween Catwoman Costume from Costume Discounters! #CountdownToHalloween

The featured product was provided free of charge to facilitate my review, but all opinions are 100% the opinion of the Coupon Savvy Sarah family.”

Halloween is October 31 and Halloween decorations and candies have been out since before Back to School supplies! Have your kids decided what they want to be already this year or do you wait until the last minute due to last minute changes in their mind?

Rose decided she wanted to be Catwoman this year and as a mom I was pretty proud. One, the costume is pretty modest. And two, the sleeves and pants are long for the chilly October Michigan Halloweens! Proud mom right here!

A little more about this costume:

The costume features a full black jumpsuit, eye mask, and belt. The jumpsuit is a one piece that has long sleeves and a high neckline. The eye mask is black and will hide her identity. The included belt holds the catsuit together. Catwoman, whose real name is Selina Kyle, is a popular anti-hero from the Batman series. She not good, not a hero. But she's not really a villain either. No matter how she's played, she's always an intense character. If your girl is a fan of the Batman series, either the movies or comic books, she will love wearing the Tween Girl's Catwoman Costume. She'll look and feel like she just stepped out of the movie.

Costume Discounters sent us out their Tween Cat Woman Costume in medium size. It includes: Jumpsuit, eye mask, belt (Shoes not included). This costume is available in Girl's sizes and Tween sizes (small and medium).

Our Thoughts:

Rose loved the costume and all the pieces - especially the utility, but unfortunately it didn't fit. I went back and remeasured her and double checked her measurements to the ones on the Tween medium costume and according to the measurements it should have fit her but didn't. Rose is a girl's size 12/14 (not even in tween/teen size yet - she is very petite for her age) and the costume Tween medium says it would fit a Tween dress size of 2 or 4. This should have fit my daughter in theory but it won't close at the top near the neck area and it is extremely short (there were not length measurements provided - only bust and waist).

What I am assuming happened is this costume is a girl's size and was mislabeled (it can happen). Needless to say we aren't able to return the costume to exchange it because the company is stating their measurements are accurate.

At the time of posting this review their website stated Free Returns and Exchanges but today (9/18) I see their site has now changed that policy. You can find their new returns policy here. So honestly - proceed with caution as always when ordering apparel online. Always refer to the sizing guide (as we did - even though it didn't help in this case) and double check return policies before ordering. Now the task of going to an actual store and finding a Halloween costume for Rose because this didn't fit.

  1. Awe that's too bad. I love that she wanted to be cat woman and I'm sorry that it didn't fit. It stinks that the company won't return it....especially if they state otherwise online.
