Turn your Kids into Moviemakers with Zing’s new StikBot! #HolidayGiftGuide #StikBot

The featured product was provided free of charge to facilitate my review, but all opinions are 100% the opinion of the Coupon Savvy Sarah family.”

Introducing Zing’s new StikBot, developed with creativity and imagination in mind, Stikbot turns kids into movie makers. This is part of a broader trend happening right now with big companies like Crayola and Disney stepping into the stop motion animation world and encouraging kids to think creatively!

Stop motion is one of the most popular forms of animation. There is something inherently fascinating about watching an object come to life and move on its own. With StikBot, from Zing Toys, kids have the basic tools for creating their own stop motion videos. The basic set comes with a tripod that adjusts to fit different smartphones, as well as two Stikbots, which are highly expressive and poseable action figures. After downloading the StikBot Studio app, which is compatible with iOS and Android devices, anyone can get started on their animated masterpiece starring the Stikbots–the only other thing they’ll need is their imaginations.

Our Thoughts:

Rose really liked the little figures with suction-cup hands and feet - they were able to stick to almost any flat surface which made them easy to pose. The free Stikbot Studio app, available on iOS and Android, was easy to download and operate. It snaps individual photos, stitches them together into a film and is complete with music and sound effects. Rose had the option to share her original videos in the creative community they set up by using the hashtag #Stikbot, plus she is able to see what others are making all over the world....it truly is one of the first-ever social media toys.
