We are huge Star Wars fans in our house so I was super stoked to catch wind of the new Softsoap line of foaming hand soaps featuring a few of our favorite Star Wars characters! This new character bottles are the perfect way to get your children excited about washing their hands (warning - you may go through a lot if they are super duper fans!).
Softsoap Star Wars Foaming Hand Soaps are currently available in three iconic characters: Yoda, Darth Vader and R2D2, but don't fret because they are planning on adding more characters later this year!
The Star Wars Foaming Hand Soaps from Softsoap will retail for approximately $2.99 for the 8.5 fl.oz size but I am sure you can catch them on sale as well. I love getting Softsoap's email newsletter (it includes some of their other brands too from the Colgate-Palmolive family) because there are coupons in them at times so make sure to sign up if you like to save! The soaps are available at mass retail, drug and grocery stores nationwide.
Hand Washing Tips
- Start early: Research shows that children as young as three can grasp the importance and techniques of proper hand washing.
- Make hand washing fun: Play games and sing songs while lathering up. Give kids a monogrammed towel for drying. You can find more good ideas in the Resources area of this page.
- Skip the bar: Liquid soaps are easier for little ones to use. Let children choose their own soap with a favorite character or scent. Softsoap® brand offers foaming formulas made just for kids.
- Lead by example: Children imitate what they see, so wash your own hands regularly and model good behavior. Early hand washing education may lead to better hygiene as adults.
Not a Star Wars fan? I won't judge!! Check out the other new additions to the Softsoap Hand Soap line with the Fragrant Foaming collection in Jasmine & White Cotton, Whipped Cocoa Butter and Kitchen Citrus Bliss. They will knock your socks off - they smell amazing!
