I have had the pleasure of reading all of M. Mabie's books to date. I literally get pulled into the book by such amazing and interesting characters and pretty much neglect most of my responsibilities until I am finished with it - sorry family!!

Roots and Wings Book Synopsis:
Welcome to Wynne, population 3,401.

No billionaires. No professional athletes. No celebrities.

In this small town, current events are pondered in mirrors at the local salon or around crowded tables at the diner, and there’s a new couple to gossip about. A rough and tumble woman who works in her dad’s garage, not yet ready to spread her wings, shows the new guy in town what it’s like to finally have roots.

It’s your run-of-the-mill, sexy, Astro van driving dentist meets smart-ass, bass fishing tomboy in a story of real-life romance.

Low on drama. High on love.

Pull up a chair and stay a while.

Our Thoughts:

I think my husband thought I was off my rocker as I poured through this book (well....more so than normal!) as I laughed out loud, wiped tears away and grinned like an idiot. The lead characters, Mutt and Vaughn are so full of depth and spunk. The honesty and them speaking their minds is just so refreshing - they both are learning about each other and lift each other up along the way with reassurances and praise. I want that relationship! It is something I aspire too and work on in my own marriage - speaking my mind and not being afraid of the repercussions. For the record....I am on my third round reading this book because the characters - all of them - are the best and just fill my book soul!! I cannot wait to see what M. Mabie has in store for us in the upcoming City Limit books!!

If you haven't read M. Mabie's previous books, what are you waiting for? She makes you fall in love with her characters and leaves you wanting more!

About Author M. Mabie:
M. Mabie lives in Illinois with her husband. She writes unconventional love stories and tries to embody "real-life romance."

She cares about politics, but will not discuss them in public. She uses the same fork at every meal, watches Wayne's World while cleaning, and lets her dog sleep on her head. She has always been a writer. In fact, she was born with a pen in her hand, which almost never happens. Almost.

M. Mabie usually doesn't speak in third-person. She promises.

This really sounds like a good book. I love books that you can't put down and really build the depth of each character enough to tae you through the circle of emotions with them.
