Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity War Trailer:

Our Thoughts:

I cannot even begin to express to you what a roller coaster of emotions Avengers: Infinity War takes you on. The tales of all of these characters and their movies that have been woven so intricately together between all these different directors, writers and producers - just brilliant. If you haven't watched all the movies leading up to the Infinity War, please take a moment to check out our post on the order we suggest you watch them in to follow the different character's story-lines and time frames that this is all taking place. Honestly, I would even suggest going back and watching them anyways because I know there are details my family and I missed that all come into play in Avengers: Infinity War. I will not spoil anything for those of you who haven't seen it yet, nor haven't heard the yelling and screaming of those of us who have! I can tell you though...right off the bat, there is a shocking loss of one of my favorite characters and more loss from there on out at Thanos tries to get his hands on the infinity stores. And that ending...we have lots of theories in our house on what could happen in the next movie - a lot of "what-if's" and definitely "we hope." Plus with the creative mind, James Gunn, gone from Disney now - it leaves the fate of the Guardians of the Galaxy characters and trilogy ending up in the air which we are a bit devastated about. So make sure you have a box of tissues nearby because you might need them!

We were sent an advance copy of the Avengers: Infinity War in addition to some other goodies to make some infinity stone cookies with our awesome Infinity Gauntlet oven mitt. I wanted to share the recipe below for you to get your family in the Avenger's spirit with these yummy cookies!

Infinity Stone Sugar Cookies

Ingredients:
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 sticks butter (8oz) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
Directions:
  • Sift flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl.
  • Add butter and sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer with the paddle attachment; mix on medium speed until pale and fluffy.
  • Add eggs and vanilla. Reduce speed to low and mix until combined.
  • Gradually add in the flour mixture and mix on low increasing the speed as needed; add a little at a time and mix until combined.
  • Divide dough into 6 equal portions (At this point you can add the food color to your dough); Wrap each portion in plastic wrap and refrigerate until firm, at least one hour or overnight.
  • When ready to bake the cookies - Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • Let disk of dough stand at room temperature just until soft enough to roll, about 10 minutes.
  • Cut out your Infinity Stone Shapes (Use a soccer ball shaped cookie cutter for the closest shape).
  • Remove the excess dough and place the mat with the cutouts in the freezer until the dough is very firm, about 15 minutes.
  • Bake for 7-11 minutes. Baking times will vary so keep a close eye on them. Remove from oven and let them cool on wire racks.
NOTE - How to Color Cookie Dough:
  • Divide the cookie dough into 6 equal parts. Mix in the food gels of colors needed.
  • Keep adding and mixing until you get the exact shade of the color you want.
  • Use food safe gloves or you might end up with rainbow colored hands.
