North Star Games - Clubs Game Review and Giveaway

The featured product was provided free of charge to facilitate my review, but all opinions are 100% the opinion of the Coupon Savvy Sarah family.”

In our house, we love to play games whether they are card or board games. We love them all! We even get together with friends on a regular basis for family game nights! I was very excited to learn about North Star Games recently after playing their game "Crappy Birthday" with friends and reached out to them for some game reviews!

North Star Games sent us out the card game "Clubs" to review. Clubs is for ages 8 and up with about a 30 minute playtime for 2-6 players.

Brief game description:
Clubs combines trick-taking fun with a hint of risk. It’s simple enough for kids, strategic enough for adults.  The deck of 60 unique cards opens a new world of play for card game lovers.  The goal is simple: get rid of all your cards as fast as possible.  At the same time, you’ll want to take tricks with clubs in them, because they are the only cards that score points. But watch out! The last player to get rid of their cards scores nothing, even if they have a huge pile of clubs. Pick up Clubs...and win!

Our thoughts:
Clubs was a lot of fun to play once we got the hang of it. We had to read the rules a couple times to figure out the game because it seemed a little complex and we kept the rules out in front of us during the game to help us with the different plays and scenarios! Rose had a hard time getting into this game at age 11 but once she got the hang of it she really enjoyed it! We are taking this game and the other game North Star Games sent us to our New Year's Eve party so we can play so more!

North Star Games are available on their website and at Barnes & Noble retailers. North Star urges folks to become a fan of their games (email them at Fans@NorthStarGames.com) and with that you have a chance to win a board game every month, FREE replacement parts of your games for life and you have a chance to participate in their game design process!
