The fun has begun at the annual Michigan Renaissance Festival in Holly, Michigan! We love attending this family-friendly festival and it draws large crowds from throughout Michigan and out of state!

This year's weekend themes are:

• Pirates & Pups (8/16-8/17)
• Highland Fling (8/23-8/24)
• Viking Invasion (8/30-9/1) - Labor Day Weekend)
• Wonders of the World (9/6-9/7)
• Shamrock & Shenanigans (9/13-9/14)
• Harvest Huzzah (9/20-9/21)
• Festival Friday (9/26) & Sweet Endings (9/27-9/28)

We have been attending the Renaissance Festival for over 2 decades and they are always adding new foods, vendors, shows and attractions to the event.

One major change is: Parking Passes are now needed to park on the Michigan Renaissance Festival grounds. For your convenience Parking Passes may be purchased upon arrival to the Festival or you may purchase a daily Parking Pass online by visiting www.michrenfest.com and Each Parking Pass costs $15 (Each Parking Pass is good for one single day of vehicle parking. A Parking Pass is an included benefit for all Season and Royal Pass holders).

Some of the other popular event attractions are the Hawk Walk, Sky Hunters - Birds of Prey, Feast of Fantasy, Royal Masquerade Ball, Pub Crawl, the King's Happy Hour and Ladies Shopping Day. These events sell out fast so don't delay in ordering your tickets here!

For the Love of Family, a “Superior” Vitamin Was Created! A little bit about the Founder, Ron Beckenfeld

Ron Beckenfeld, Founder and CEO of Continental Vitamin Company - brand Superior Source Vitamins started selling vitamins out of the trunk of his car in 1964 and in 1969 he started Continental Vitamin Company; it became a life-long passion to establish a supplement company that cares about health.

In 1998 he started Superior Source MicroLingual® due to his concern about his father’s Parkinson’s condition. He had a hard time swallowing tablets, so the B-12 quick-dissolving tablet was born, with his father in mind. Now there is a line of instant dissolving tablets that can be taken anywhere, any time, without the need for water.

The company is built from "a love for health, wellness, fitness, nutrition, and the need for a healthy and better life" and it shows with Mr Beckenfeld.
