Our Thoughts:
I have to admit that I am a sucker for vampires. That being said, I was very intrigued with the story the vampire Dante who was taken captive at age 18 and escaped 10 years later trying to find out how he fits in the world, where his family is and even if they are still alive. All with the help of the ER Nurse Erin who first encounters Dante in their blood bank after he escaped. The pull between the two is magnetic. I enjoyed how the story line naturally unfolded and am excited to already have the second part of the saga in my hands to keep reading!

Our Thoughts:
The story continues with Erin and the vampire Dante as he begins to share what happened while he was being held captive as a blood slave for 10 years and revealing his past history about his family. The mysterious bond that is felt between Dante and Erin is revealed in this book (no spoilers here) and WOW! The way the story is retold from Dante's memories reveals why he is so drawn to Erin and the need to protect her. I cannot wait to get my hands on the third installment to see what happens next!
