As most of you know I attended the BlogHer conference this past weekend in Chicago with my husband for the first time. We attended conference sessions, some parties and the BlogHer Expo as well. Being that it was my first big conference that I attended I was quite overwhelmed and felt some stress which to me, as a migraine sufferer, is a major trigger. Needless to say, I didn't bring my migraine relief pills with me since I was carrying as little as possible around to the conferences.
I was quite happy to meet the Walgreens booth at the Expo center. They were there introducing people to their Walgreens branded products for those who are not aware of the different generic products they carry. I always shop around as a couponer to get the best price - sometimes I get the best prices on a brand name item with coupons and sale prices combined and sometimes I buy generic because it is more economical.
After talking to the representatives of Walgreens about my migraines, they handed me a bottle of their Walgreens Migraine Relief and asked me to give it a try in comparison with the other over-the-counter migraine products I use. After using it a couple times over the course of the weekend - I got the same migraine relief as I did with the other products I use at home. After doing a little detective work once I was back in Michigan, I checked the pricing at our local Walgreens vs. the brand name products on the shelf and found that Walgreens was in fact less expensive for the same relief for my migraines.
In the future I will continue to compare prices to ensure I get the best deal as I mentioned above but it is good to know that there are options such as Walgreens branded items that provide the same relief as the brand name items on the market!
Thank you Walgreens for the free bottle - I appreciate it and it definitely helped me get through the weekend!
