We are just a few days away from the start of the annual Michigan Renaissance Festival in Holly, Michigan. We love attending this festival as a family (and even sneaking away as a couple) and it draws large crowds from throughout Michigan and out of state!
This year's weekend themes are:
- Royal Pet & Ale Fest (8/19-8/20)
- Highland Fling (8/26-8/27)
- High Seas Adventure (9/2-9/4 - Labor Day Weekend)
- Wonders of the World (9/9-9/10)
- Shamrock & Shenanigans (9/16-9/17)
- Harvest Huzzah (9/23-9/24)
- Festival Friday (9/29) & Sweet Endings (9/30-10/1)
We have been attending the Renaissance Festival for over 20 years and they are always adding new foods, vendors, shows and attractions to the event. Some of the newer popular event attractions are Feast of Fantasy, Renaissance Romance, King's Happy Hour, Pub Crawl, Once Upon a Tea Time, Pig 'N Swig (gourmet bacon and beer tasting - this was a fun event!) and even a special Ladies Shopping Day.
The ever popular Masquerade Ball (21 and Older) - Details here (this sells out too so book your tickets now if interested).
Gears, Gadgets & Glam: A Steampunk Cocktail Party (details here - this will sell out so book now if interested).
Advance tickets can be purchased on the Michigan Renaissance Festival's website in addition to discounted tickets at local retailers like Kroger, Menards, Walgreens and Goodwill.
