If you are looking for a great gift for the techie, gadget-loving Father in your life, look no further than the unique tech gifts (plus so much more) from Hammacher Schlemmer like the Universal Multi-Charging Station/Clock Radio which has 3 docks and can charge up to 4 devices at once.
Product Description:
This is the clock radio that charges up to four devices at once. Four USB ports charge any smartphone, tablet computer, or any USB-powered device, allowing you to charge all of the devices in one location. Three docks on top of the clock radio hold devices upright and the radio plays music from any one connected device. The dock plays music from any connected device through dual integrated stereo speakers and three universal cradles hold smartphones or a tablet upright, allowing you to watch videos or listen to a music collection while the devices charge. The unit requires less space than a toaster and it has built-in power surge protection, an FM radio, an LCD clock, and dual alarms. Plugs into AC.
Our Thoughts:
This docking station/clock radio was easy to set up...you literally install the back up batteries (not included), plug it in, set the time, attach the device cradles and you are ready to go. We had to read the manual though to find out that in order for our devices to play, we not only had to have them connected via the charging cable, but also connected to an audio jack and for the station to be set to auxiliary and we couldn't control the station or the dock via our attached devices.
The docking station is very nicely designed and convenient to charge the devices in one place, however iPhone cables were not included. Perfect for your bedside nightstand if you like to keep your devices close and want to charge them in one convenient and organized space.
