We love to read in our family and children's books are so much fun to not only read, but to emphasize and play up the voices and characters in the books!
Did you know that January 5th is National Bird Day? In honor of this day, let's temporarily chase away the winter blues with an AMAZING new picture book -- COCKATOO, TOO by the very talented Bethanie Deeney Murguia.
COCKATOO, TOO Synopsis:
Word play and puns combine with adorable artwork to create a read-aloud gem featuring a plump cockatoo. A second cockatoo arrives prompting the first to ask, "Cockatoo, Too?". Soon the pages are bursting with cockatoos (and other feathered friends!) wearing tu-tu's doing the can-can -- a hilarious tongue twister that will make kids and adults alike giggle with its clever silliness. This book is recommended for ages 3-6.

Our Thoughts:
Cockatoo, Too is a must-own book. The colorful pictures are fun and beautifully illustrated making it visually appealing to little ones. My nieces and nephews got a kick out of the silly puns and rhyming words - Rose even enjoying reading it out loud to them! I am so glad to have been introduced to Bethanie Murguia and can't wait to check out her other books that she has published.
