Junior Explorers Mission Great Barrier Reef Review + FREE MONTH to Try Out for Yourself!

The featured product was provided free of charge to facilitate my review, but all opinions are 100% the opinion of the Coupon Savvy Sarah family. This post contains affiliate links in which I may get a small commission if you make a purchase.”

Looking for a fun, engaging way to keep your children (or grandchildren) busy while educating them at the same time? You have to check out Junior Explorers - especially for during the summer months when kids are not in school learning! See below for a coupon code for a FREE month's kit!

Junior Explorers is a fun and educational monthly subscription program for elementary aged kids (ages 5-11), which teaches them all about wildlife and nature! As Junior Explorers, kids go on monthly interactive 'missions' to explore different ecosystems and the animals that live there. Each mission includes both tactile and digital components with kits delivered home plus a robust online experience. Kids also learn how to give back and support the habitats and species they explore every month through the Junior Explorers Mission Giveback program.

Fictional characters, Kia and Kyle are resident Junior Explorers who accompany children on every adventure. Together they will explore amazing places like the Arctic, Serengeti and the Amazon, having fun while learning about these regions and the animals that live there!

Junior Explorers is dedicated to educating and inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards.

How it works:

  1. Home Delivery: Each month, Junior Explorers receive a kit in the mail. This kit includes activities, games, cool collectibles and a secret code to unlock online missions. A new mission to a new ecosystem with new animals is delivered each month.
  2. Online Learning: Once kids log on and unlock their mission, they join Junior Explorers Kia and Kyle in solving a mystery about our planet. Through gamified learning, they follow an engaging narrative and complete games, while earning points and discovering new concepts along the way!
  3. Giving Back: As kids play games online, they earn points that are turned into real donations to nonprofits such as the WWF and the Nature Conservancy. Kids are given a true experience in giving back to the animals and ecosystems they have just learned about!

Rose received the Junior Explorers Great Barrier Reef Mission Activity Kit to review. It was filled with tons of activities, the secret activation code and even some fun surprises such as a wristband, pin, mini animals, postcards to send to family and friends and much more. Rose was able to login easily, choose her own girl or boy avatar and even customize how it looks on the computer! We really liked that the points that Rose earned through her activities and fact cards were able to be donated to non profit organizations that help animals and various ecosystems. We love giving back when we can and this is a fun and easy way to do it! At the end of the mission your child gets a certificate which is really cool!

Junior Explorers is a monthly subscription service that you can cancel at anytime! You can choose to get just one month to check it out or subscribe for 3, 6 or 12 month increments. You get the best discounts when purchasing a longer subscription and these make great gifts for your children or grandchild all year round!

Disneynature's Monkey Kingdom in Theaters Today - A Must-See for ALL Ages!! #MonkeyKingdom

“The featured movie event was provided free of charge to facilitate my review, but all opinions are 100% the opinion of the Coupon Savvy Sarah family.”

Disneynature’s MONKEY KINGDOM opens today (4/17) in theaters everywhere. If you go see MONKEY KINGDOM during opening week (April 17-23) and Disneynature will make a donation in your honor to Conservation International to help protect monkeys and other endangered species in their natural habitats. Learn more about their conservation efforts here. I love when companies give back and it was really great to see in the opening of the film how all the donations have been used from the past films that Disneynature has released.

Monkey Kingdom Movie Synopsis:
Life is an adventure for Maya, the clever and resourceful blonde-bobbed monkey in “Monkey Kingdom,” Disneynature’s new feature film set among ancient ruins in the storied jungles of South Asia.

Maya’s world is forever changed when she welcomes her son, Kip, into her complicated extended family. Like all families, Maya’s has more than its share of colorful personalities — and she’s determined to give her son a leg up in the world. When their longtime home at Castle Rock is taken over by powerful neighboring monkeys, Maya's whole family is forced to relocate, and she uses her street smarts and ingenuity to lead them to untapped resources amidst strange new creatures and unsettling surroundings. Ultimately, they will all have to work together to reclaim Castle Rock, where Maya can hopefully realize her dreams for her son’s future.

Featuring a rich variety of characters, including a mischievous mongoose, simple-minded langur monkeys, predatory leopards and monitor lizards, “Monkey Kingdom” is directed by Mark Linfield (“Chimpanzee,” “Earth”) and co-directed by Alastair Fothergill (“Chimpanzee,” “Bears”). With music from award-winning composer Harry Gregson-Williams ("The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," “Shrek” movies), Disneynature’s eighth True Life Adventure—the follow-up to 2014’s “Bears”— is now showing in theaters nationwide.

Movie Trailer:

Our thoughts:

Rose and I had the pleasure of attending an advance screening of this movie and it was amazing. I truly feel this movie would be loved by all ages - from little ones to adults! I personally didn't feel there were any scenes too scary for little ones and any deaths of the animals were handled tastefully without showing anything graphic....same goes for the coupling up of any monkeys!

The film was visually stunning with a gorgeous location and setting. I learned a lot about the Toque Macaque monkeys in this movie and they are amazing creatures (who knew monkeys could swim under water?). There was the perfect amount of silliness and humor in this movie in addition to suspense and drama as the monkeys interacted amongst each other and other animals in their habitat as well.

Rose and I particularly enjoyed a fun scene involving the monkeys and a dog (hilarious) and I personally loved the introduction of a "hunky monkey" to the tunes of "What a Man" by Salt N Pepa - I laughed so hard with my friend and fellow blogger Lauren from Mrs. Weber's Neighborhood, who we were lucky enough to be seated next to!

This film is rated G with a run-time of 81 minutes and Tina Fey is the film's narrator. I highly recommend checking this movie out. Rose and I are planning on taking my husband to it Saturday night!

Stay up to date on Disneynature's Monkey Kingdom by following the film's Facebook (there are a bunch of behind the scenes monkey antics on video shared there) and Twitter accounts.

You can also check out the website for Monkey Kindom for theater's movie times near you! They have a fun free family activity pack with fun learning activities, crosswords puzzles and more for you to print and share with your family - you can access it here!

MIDNIGHT VELVET REVIEW & GIVEAWAY- $50 Gift Certificate!

Working Out made FUN with Jabra Sport Wireless #FFF #Review

The featured product was provided free of charge to facilitate my review, but all opinions are 100% the opinion of the Coupon Savvy Sarah family.”

JabraUS has done it once again! They have created a product that makes my life easier and more fun while I go about my day!

I have been talking on and off about my healthy lifestyle changes that I have been making since the beginning of the year - eating healthier and getting my body moving and active at the gym for the first time ever!

This is where Jabra Sport Wireless makes my life easier and more fun! The Jabra Sport Wireless is a Bluetooth Stereo headphones that works with any Bluetooth enabled device!

After charging the headphones for 2 hours, I took our iPhone to the gym recently to test out the Jabra Sport Wireless. The sound quality is amazing and they stayed great in my ears, plus I didn't have to listen to any of the background noise in the gym.

The right-side piece of the headphones is where the antenna is located along with the volume button, FM Stereo button and the multifunction button. The multifunction button actually allows you to power on/off the device in addition to answering phone calls (not that I would advise that while at the gym!)....the two ear pieces are connected by a fit clip and the headphones come with an assortment of eargels to keep the headphones in place in your ear.

TIP: Make sure that you wear your device in an armband on the RIGHT arm. If you put it on your left arm it will have to transmit through your body causing static etc.

I definitely recommend the Jabra Sport Wireless! It will make working out easier, stylish and fun!

You can purchase the Jabra Sport Wireless on Apple and Verizon
