Restaurants and businesses are thanking Veterans this year on Veteran's Day - November 11, 2016, with discounts and freebies for everything from drinks, meals and desserts. Before you try to redeem these deals, it's always wise to call ahead and note limitations and restrictions. Some of these deals are reserved for those who have served in the American military and their families, while other promotions are open to everyone.

Bed, Bath & Beyond - U.S. Military & Veterans - 25% off ENTIRE Purchase In-Store Offer from Thursday, 11/10 to Sunday, 11/13/16! Must show proof of service or duty to get 25% discount off entire purchase.

Emagine Theaters - On November 11th, Emagine theaters will be offering one free movie ticket for any active or veteran military member plus one guest ticket at all of their locations. Offer valid on 11/11/16 at box office only for a maximum of two (2) tickets with military ID. Offer cannot be reserved/redeemed online.

Lowe's - Get a 10% discount for military families. Lowe's established the 10% military discount to support the men and women who are currently serving our country in the armed services1 and to honor retired veterans and VA recipients. This 10% discount is also extended to the immediate family of those who are currently serving, retired veterans or VA recipients. Discount valid through 11/16/16 - must show proof of service.

Applebee’s, Olga’s Kitchen, MOD Pizza and Del Taco restaurants to offer FREE meals to Veterans and Active Military Personnel on Veterans Day in Michigan!

TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), a Michigan-based, family-owned restaurant group with an expansive portfolio of casual dining, quick-service and family dining restaurants throughout the state of Michigan, announced that its Applebee’s, Olga’s Kitchen, MOD Pizza and Del Taco restaurants will offer free meals to veterans and active military personnel on Veterans Day to honor our troops.

On Friday, November 11, all 66 TSFR Michigan Applebee’s, 25 Olga’s Kitchen, five MOD Pizza and four Del Taco restaurants will celebrate Veterans Day by providing a free meal to those who have courageously served or are currently enlisted in military services. Applebee’s will feature a special Veterans Day menu as well as provide a $5 bounce back coupon to each veteran to use on their next visit, Olga’s Kitchen will offer The Original Olga® sandwich, Del Taco will offer its 1-10 combo meals and MOD Pizza will offer any MOD size pizza for free.

“We all enjoy the luxuries of freedom due to the unwavering dedication and selfless acts our troops display on a daily basis, and that is not lost on any of us here at TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants,” said TSFR Director of Marketing Barb Pasciak. “We are proud to open our doors and give the men and women who continue to fight on our behalf a free meal that they can enjoy with family and friends in a fun and welcoming environment. We look forward to having these brave individuals in our restaurants and being able to thank them in person for their efforts.”

In addition to the free meals to veterans, TSFR and its 66 Applebee’s restaurants launched a “Pour One Forward” campaign in which guests can purchase two Samuel Adams Boston Lagers—one to drink and one to share with their local military hero. From October 20 thru November 10, guests who participate in the Pour One Forward campaign can write a “thank you” note to our troops. On Veterans Day, active military personnel and veterans can select one of the postcards from behind the bar and exchange it for a Boston Lager at no cost to them.

Those eligible to receive a free meal need to show proof of service, such as a U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, DDT214 Citation or Commendation, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, a Current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), a Veterans Organization Card, a photograph of he/she in military uniform or by wearing their military uniform in-restaurant. In addition to the above, those eligible for the Pour One Forward drink must be 21 years of age or older.
