Veteran's Day Freebies and Discounts 2014

On Tuesday, November 11, restaurants and businesses across the U.S. will be honoring Veterans and active duty personnel with free food, items and discounts. Before claiming your freebies, keep in mind that those wishing to redeem offers at participating restaurants must show proof of their military service at each establishment. Unless otherwise noted, all offers are valid only on November 11. 

RESTAURANTS:

Applebee's: Free entrée as part of its "Thank You Movement." The offer is valid from open to close for dine-in service from a limited menu at participating locations. Beverages and tips are not included.

Bar Louie: On November 10 and 11, veterans and active military personnel get a free meal up to a $12 value.

Bob Evans: Free stacks of all-you-can-eat hotcakes at participating locations.

California Pizza Kitchen: Free entrée from its limited pizza, salad and pasta menu. The offer is valid for dine-in customers only.

Carrabba’s: All active and retired veterans get a free appetizer November 8 through 11.

Cheeseburger in Paradise: Free All-American burgers with fries. To redeem this offer, guests must purchase a drink valued at $1.99 or more.

Chili’s: Veterans and active military service members get a free entrée from a limited menu on November 11. 

Chuck E. Cheese's: Veterans and active duty military get 20 free tokens from November 9 through November 15.

Coffee Beanery: Veterans and active duty military get a free tall cup of coffee on November 11 at participating locations. 

Cracker Barrel: Veterans get a complimentary Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake dessert during lunch and dinner on November 11. 

Denny’s: Free "Build Your Own Grand Slam" breakfast at locations nationwide. This offer is valid from 5 a.m. until noon.

Famous Dave's: Free meal consisting of one meat, one corn muffin and one side. The offer does not include dessert, a beverage or an appetizer. Only one "Meat Salute" meal per military member is allowed.

Friendly’s: Free breakfast, lunch or dinner. The breakfast menu item is a "Big-Two-Do" (choice of eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes or French toast). A complimentary cup of coffee will also be included. Lunch and dinner patrons will receive an All-American burger, fries and either a soda, iced-tea or hot beverage.

Golden Corral: The chain will celebrate Military Appreciation Day on Monday, November 17 by serving free meals at locations nationwide 5 p.m. through 9 p.m.

Hooters: Free entree (up to a $10.99 value, including a drink purchase). Menu items include its famous wings, salads, sandwiches, seafood dishes and more. Veterans who share photos of their visit on social media, using the hashtag #LetFreedomWing, have a chance of being featured on Hooters’ Instagram page.

IHOP: Free red, white and blue pancakes with whipped cream, blueberry and strawberry toppings. Some locations will include eggs, bacon and hash browns with their complimentary meals. This offer is valid from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. only.

Krispy Kreme: Free doughnut of any variety and a free small coffee at participating locations. (Connecticut and casino locations will not be participating.) No purchase is necessary, but customers are required to pay the sales tax. No ID is required.

Lone Star Steakhouse: Free Texas rose, potato skins, spinach and artichoke dip, fried green beans or spicy white queso dish. Only one offer per table allowed. Offer is valid all day for dine-in customers only.

LongHorn Steakhouse: Veterans and current service members receive a complimentary Texas Tonion appetizer and non-alcoholic beverage from a select menu on November 11.

Max & Erma's: On November 11, participating Max & Erma’s locations are offering veterans and active military personnel a free Best Cheeseburger in America Combo meal.

Olive Garden: Free entrée from a limited menu available all day at each of its nationwide locations.

Outback Steakhouse:  All active and former service members receive a free Bloomin’ Onion and a beverage on November 11. Outback is also offering active and former service members 15% off their meals Nov. 12 through Dec. 31.

On the Border: Free create your own combo “choose 2” or “choose 3” meal. This offer is not valid in Nevada. Only a limited number of locations in California will be participating this Veterans Day.

Red Lobster: Through November 13, Veterans, active duty and active serving military, as well as reservists, can receive a free select appetizer. Menu items include dishes such as lobster-crab-and-seafood-stuffed mushrooms, sweet chili shrimp and many more.

Red Robin: Free tavern double burger with bottomless steak fries. This offer is valid for dine-in customers only, and it excludes Red Robin Burger Works restaurants.

Ruby Tuesday: Veterans, active duty and reserve service members get a free appetizer on November 11.

Spaghetti Warehouse: Dine-in customers can buy one lasagna or original recipe spaghetti and meatballs meal and get one for free. The meal is also served with sourdough bread and your choice of a soup or salad for lunch/dinner. This coupon is needed to redeem this offer.

Starbucks: Free, tall brewed coffee on November 11 to all U.S. military veterans and active duty service members — and their spouses. 

Texas Roadhouse: Free lunch from a limited menu which includes a six-ounce sirloin steak, country-fried chicken, pulled pork and more. A complimentary Coca-Cola product beverage, iced/sweet tea or coffee is also included. This offer is available for dine-in customers only.

TGI Friday’s: Free lunch from a select menu. This offer is only valid from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for dine-in customers at select locations.

Tim Hortons Café & Bake Shop:  Active duty military and veterans receive a free donut all day long on November 11.

OTHER FREEBIES:

24-Hour Fitness - In observance of Veterans Day, enjoy FREE club access for you and a guest from November 8 to November 11.

Barnes and Noble:  Veterans, active duty military members and their families get a 15% discount on all Barnes and Noble Devices on November 11. In-store only.

Bass Pro Shops:  Active duty and retired military can receive a 10% discount off regularly priced merchandise on November 11.

Bed Bath and Beyond: Veterans, active duty, Reserves, Guard and spouses get 20% off their entire purchase November 8 through 11.

Dollar General:  Active duty service members, veterans and their family get an 11% discount on qualifying purchases on November 11. 

Food Lion:  Active duty, veterans and their families receive a 10% discount on November 11.

Great Clips - Stop in November 11 and get a haircut, and get a free haircut card to give a veteran. Plus, veterans who come in on Veterans Day get a free haircut or a free haircut card to use any time this year.

Harris Teeter: Active duty military personnel and veterans receive 11% off their entire purchase on November 11.

Home Depot:  Home Depot offers a 10% discount to all veterans on Veterans Day November 11. Home Depot offers the 10% discount year round to for active duty and retirees. 
 
JCPenney: Veterans, active duty, Guard, Reserves and family members receive an extra 20% off select apparel and 10% off select furniture in stores November 3-15 with coupon.
 
Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores:  Past and present service members  and their families receive 20% off their total purchase November 7-11.

Lowe's -- All veterans receive a 10% discount on Veterans Day, November 11. The offer is available in stores only. 

Publix:  Active and retired military personnel and their families get a 10% discount on November 11.

Sears: Active, reserve,  and retired military get 40% off regular priced tools or an extra 10% off sale priced tools from November 2 through 11.
